In January 2020, the Human Capital Management department will be hosting their 3-credit graduate course in International Human Resource Management at the Abu Dhabi portal campus. Working with the SPS Office of Global and Strategic Initiatives, this newly launched short-tem global field intensive will allow students to examine the impact of successful employment practices on international business in the geopolitical context of the Middle East.
Under the guidance of Academic Director and Clinical Associate Professor, Dr. Anna Tavis, students will observe how the UAE is transforming itself into a vibrant, modern knowledge society that seamlessly integrates religion and cultural traditions with high technology. With over a dozen field site visits planned, students will view first-hand how the UAE experience will translate into the practices of neighboring Gulf states and to the developing world at large.
The International Human Resource Management: Abu Dhabi course is open to graduate students within the School of Professional Studies and will run from January 4th – 17th, 2020.
