Introduction to GIS

This course will provide students with basic competencies in spatial visualization and the analysis of geographical information for policy analysis. In recent decades, the large-scale production and processing of geospatial information has become mainstream in policy analysis, requiring professionals in a variety of fields to become familiar with current approaches and technologies. The course will focus primarily on the application of geospatial technologies while also offering students a brief historical overview of the crucial role of maps.
