BS in Sport Management Curriculum

DEGREE/CURRICULUM STRUCTURE

LIBERAL ARTS CORE: Students enrolled in the BS in Sport Management take 60 credits of NYU's liberal arts core courses, which can be completed in NYC on the Washington Square campus, with myriad opportunities to complete some of these requirements by studying abroad. The core is designed to sharpen reading comprehension and writing skills, elevate creative and critical thinking capacities, and enhance social and cultural understanding. (See courses below)

MAJOR CORE: The BS in Sport Management major core consists of 40 credits of foundational business courses. It prepares students with fundamental knowledge of finance, accounting, legal, ethical, and research principles. (See courses below)

PROFESSIONAL ELECTIVES:
Students are required to complete 28 elective courses in addition to the 60 liberal arts and 40 major core credits. These electives can consist of specialized courses within the Tisch Institute or any undergraduate courses at NYU. Students can add a minor as part of these electives, as well. (See courses below)

PROFESSIONAL SPECIALIZATION TRACKS:
Students are not required to specialize in any one area of study; the 28 electives are intentionally flexible so students can design their own program of study. However, if you are a student who needs more structure and guidance, we have developed areas of specialization to guide your study. (See descriptions below)

INTERNSHIPS: Students enrolled in the BS in Sport Management benefit tremendously from the large number of internships available through the Tisch Institute (See the degree page for more information)
