Hotel Industry's Top Executives Provide Insights and Strategies at 2009 NYU Hospitality Conference

NYU Conference Runs May 31 - June 2, 2009 in NYC

NEW YORK, NY - April 9, 2009 - A group of the hospitality industry’s top chief executive officers will be providing strategies to navigate challenging economic times in two opening panel discussions entitled Leadership Lessons at the 31st Annual NYU Hospitality Industry Investment Conference. Hosted by the NYU Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management and sponsored by the leading hospitality organizations, the conference is the premier hospitality finance and development forum of its kind where global hotel CEOs, analysts, and other hospitality leaders gather to discuss the current and future developments in the industry.

The Leadership Lessons segment “Leading for Change” will feature Stephen P. Joyce, president and CEO, Choice Hotels International; Christopher J. Nassetta, president and CEO, Hilton Hotels Corporation; Gilles C. Pélisson, CEO, ACCOR; and Frits van Paasschen, president and CEO, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.

The Leadership Lessons segment “Strategic Direction” will include Eric A. Danziger, CEO, Wyndham Hotel Group; Gary M. Mendell, chairman and CEO, HEI Hotels & Resorts; Mitesh B. Shah, senior managing principal and CEO, Noble Investment Group; and W. Edward Walter, president and CEO, Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc.

Both Leadership Lessons panels will be moderated by Rach – the hospitality industry’s very own dean – and will take place on June 1 at The Waldorf=Astoria in New York.
