Analogously, now-classic films The Wizard of Oz, It’s a Wonderful Life, and Vertigo were all Oscar losers and box office flops during their initial runs—it took years for them to achieve classic status. In this course, we screen and discuss a variety of diverse and terrific movies you may have missed but are definitely worth seeing. Screenings include Petulia, The Ox-Bow Incident, Something Wild, and Small Change.
