Examine land use, zoning, entitlements, and environmental impact assessments that directly affect development planning for real estate developments. With a focus on New York City regulations, topics include site selection, land use analyses, introduction to basic zoning analyses, introduction to Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP), introduction to City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR) regulation, concepts of lot mergers, land assemblage, and transfer of development rights.
