Construction Project Management
Discuss best practices for managing construction projects. This course will present concepts and techniques to coordinate, monitor, and supervise construction projects, from kickoff to closeout, with an emphasis on cost, quality, safety, and schedule management. Explore how and why various practices should be implemented, discussing benefits from the perspective of the owner, contractor, and construction manager. Topics include project stakeholder communication, project delivery and procurement methods, estimating, bonds and insurance, project scheduling, change orders and claims, accounting/cost control procedures, technology, and sustainable construction.
Note: Registering at least three weeks prior to the start of the course date is highly recommended. Popular classes fill up quickly and more specialized classes need sufficient enrollment.
