Ankit Bhardwaj
Adjunct InstructorAnkit Bhardwaj is an environmental sociologist at New York University, interested in climate politics and justice of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. He uses qualitative methods to understand how people make sense of and respond to climate change, and engages in policy debates from New York City to New Delhi. He has written award-winning work on the challenges of climate change in rapidly urbanizing India, social theories on environmental racism, and the relationship between scientists and democracy. Before coming to New York, Ankit was a climate change researcher at the Centre for Policy Research in New Delhi and studied urban design and civil engineering in London and Toronto. He grew up in Yokohama and Singapore.
