Richard Brown

Rich Brown is an educator and consultant to nonprofit organizations. His nonprofit career spans 33 years as a fundraiser, manager, and teacher. Prior to entering the sector he was employed by Grumman Aerospace Corp. He has worked at NYU, AFS Intercultural Programs, St. Jude Children's Hospital, SUNY College at Old Westbury, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and Autism Speaks.


Rich has been a board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals New York City Chapter. He was General Chair of Fundraising Day in New York in 2016 and 2017.  Rich is a past president of the NVHA New York (today known as Combined Health Charities).  He’s delivered numerous webinars and is a frequent presenter at conferences. Rich received his B.A. from SUNY Cortland and M.A. from Long Island University.
