Prospero Herrera is the Founder and Executive Director at Rooklyn International Football Association, a sports-based youth development non-profit focused on empowering newcomer immigrant, refugee and asylum-seeking youth and women through soccer and mentorship. Prospero has more than 10 years of experience focused on managing teams and community relations with data-informed decision-making involving analysis of new programs, strategy, change management, and client enrollment and outcomes with non-profit organizations in historically marginalized communities throughout the Bay Area, New York City and Miami. Additionally, he has overseen and facilitated the modernization of the Theory of Change and Strategic Framework for the City in the Community Foundation, the charity supported by NYCFC. He has also held roles in after school services, refugee resettlement, research, data management, volunteer management, and recreation working for a variety of grassroots, mid-size and large organizations focused on youth development, immigrant case management, and refugee resettlement. Prospero earned a BS in Earth and Environmental Engineering from Columbia University and a Master's Degree in City and Regional Planning from UC Berkeley.
