Jeffrey Levien, J.D., is an adjunct instructor within the Schack Institute of Real Estate. He has 25 years of real estate experience with investing, public/private partnerships, development/leasing, distressed debt, and law. He owns Heirloom which develops, owns or manages a mixed-use portfolio of over 700,000 square feet. Mr. Levien was previously Managing Director at Greystone, VP Development at Street-Works, and co-founder of Scott-Lawrence; directing $3.5B of transactions and running an equity fund specializing in sub-performing debt. Mr. Levien actively gives his time to charitable organizations including affordable development and animal rescue. He received his B.S.M. in Finance from Freeman Business School at Tulane University and a J.D. from Cardozo Law School. Mr. Levien lectures for REBNY and is a published writer. At NYUSPS he provides an entertaining and educational view into real estate development and finance.
