Zack Baddorf is a national security and foreign policy professional with more than 15 years experience on the frontlines of the world’s conflicts, including Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central African Republic, Crimea, Kashmir and the West Bank.
As the director of visual media for the International Center for the Study of Violent Extremism, Zack counters ISIS and al Shabaab propaganda by strategically challenging extremist narratives through video and other mediums.
As a media chief for the U.S. Air Force, Zack works with international and national media to ensure the 11th Wing’s mission is effectively communicated to the public. He previously served in the U.S. military for five years doing public affairs work and served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Romania for two years conducting media development. For a year in Afghanistan, he worked on rural, remote bases for the U.S. Special Operations Command as a civilian collecting and sharing lessons learned.
