Writing for Self-Promotion and Performance Coaching
This course helps to develop the habits of using workplace writing as a tool for self-promotion, professional development, and performance coaching. Continue the work of using writing to communicate a professional identity internally and externally. Practice writing to promote your professional self—as a writer, a leader, and an employee ready for career advancement. Also, practice documenting successes and communicating challenges to key stakeholders. With a focus on team coaching and collaboration, learn how to prepare communication strategies that aim to track changes over time.
This course is delivered in an online, self-paced (asynchronous) format. The instructor interacts with students and facilitates group discussions within NYU’s online learning platform. There are weekly deadlines for lesson and assignment completion.
