This course will address the unfolding policy, political, legislative, public opinion, and messaging dimensions of the incoming Biden-Harris administration, with special reference to global affairs. We’ll look at the transition from campaigning to governing: setting the domestic and foreign policy strategic agendas, identifying priorities, communicating domestically and globally, weighing executive actions, forging congressional relations, initiating legislation, and mobilizing public support. The course will track developments in real time, using class readings, media, and expert guest speakers.
