Discovering Italian Through Timely Topics
If you have never studied Italian, then take this course to develop basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in the language. Taught almost entirely in Italian and specifically designed for beginners, this course will offer an introduction to the Italian language through an exploration of engaging, current topics. Learn through a variety of paired, small-group, and whole-class activities that rely on student interaction and participation. This course can stand alone, or it can be like an antipasto (which you’ll learn how to order!), leaving you hungry for more. Classroom discussion and cultural outings take the language off the page in this dynamic, interactive course. Course content changes every semester, so this course may be taken more than once. Classes are conducted in Italian to the extent possible.
Students are strongly encouraged to register by Wednesday, September 12, 2018 to ensure a seat in the class. Please contact the Department of Foreign Languages at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions, or call 212-998-7150 to register.
