Inspired by Real Life: Reading and Writing Exofiction in French

Explore “exofiction,” a new literary phenomenon similar to biopics that takes inspiration for real-life events. This course is designed for individuals who possess high-intermediate or advanced French language ability. Examine French exofiction with works by two award-winning writers: Lydie Salvayre and Olivier Bourdeaut. Every week, you will be provided with short excerpts of these works to write about and to discuss in class.
