French II

This course builds upon the basic knowledge obtained in French I, or an equivalent course, and provides opportunities to expand the range of your conversational abilities. Learn practical skills, like how to order in restaurants and understand weather forecasts, while developing the ability to make small talk on everyday topics, and take basic conversations deeper. By the end of the course, you are expected to reach the intermediate-low level on the ACTFL proficiency scale. Classes are conducted in French to the extent possible. The learning materials used in this class are from Promenades: À travers le monde francophone by Cherie Mitschke and Cheryl Tano (2nd ed., Vista Higher Learning, Inc.).
