Commercial Producing in the Digital Space

Learn the skills necessary to produce digital commercials, including useful approaches to working with budgets and tips for handling difficult clients. It is often said that commercial producing is the career path for film and TV professionals who actually want to make money. What’s more, commercials are absolutely booming right now in the online arena. In this course, get an overview of the digital video industry and survey current trends. We will review the prep work necessary for an executive producer to pitch and bid for a project, and we’ll finish by exploring the ins and outs of a line producer’s role in preparing for a live-action digital commercial shoot through the use of his/her most important tool—a production budget. Special attention will be paid to the unique challenges faced by both EPs and LPs when dealing with clients—a defining component of commercial production.
