Global Presentations: Words, Images, and Data
In this course, build the knowledge, skills, and oral proficiency to organize and participate in global presentations, including outcomes reports, negotiations, and client pitches. The course focuses most deeply on intercultural communication strategies, including preparing presentations for a range of scenarios (in-person and remote) to large and small groups. Develop individual presentations for a variety of professional settings. In addition, attention is given to understanding the affordances and challenges of developing multimodal content that incorporates images, graphics, video, purposeful links, and other interactive elements into text.
This course is part of the
Certificate in Professional Writing
and the Certificate in Executive Business English and Global Communication. It may be taken to pursue the certificates, or as a standalone course.
This course is delivered in an online, self-paced (asynchronous) format. The instructor interacts with students and facilitates group discussions within NYU’s online learning platform. There are weekly deadlines for lesson and assignment completion.
