UX optimization is the intersection of two complementary methodologies—Lean UX and design thinking—with a focus on efficiency, reduced waste, and continuous improvement. In this course, learn how to align business objectives and customers needs to make a product or service that provides value to customers within defined business constraints. Choose between working on a predefined business/design challenge or on a challenge of your own that meets the course criteria, either working on a team or individually. Examine and apply Lean UX and design thinking principles to your business/design challenge. Learn how to validate customer needs, identify market segments, develop customer research techniques, synthesize findings, turn research into actionable insights with user scenarios, develop and test a prototype/minimum viable product (MVP), and pivot or gain validation for a final business/design challenge.
