
Carla Di Franco
Adjunct InstructorCarla Di Franco is the Senior Program Manager at Microsoft Corp. She currently manages feature work on the compatibility team in the Windows division at Microsoft, and has also been active in the translation and localization industry for many years. Her past roles include patent translator (GE>EN), project manager, and localization engineer, where she managed translation memory databases for Windows projects (~150 projects per year, about 10 million words). She has also worked extensively in testing, in applying the first version of the Bing machine translation engine on localization projects, and drove translation memory tool development projects.
