Carol Bergman

Adjunct Instructor

Carol Bergman is an adjunct instructor of narrative nonfiction writing within the School of Professional Studies’ Humanities, Arts, and Writing Program. She has worked as a journalist in the UK and the US. Her articles have appeared in The New York Times, The Times (London), The Christian Science Monitor, The Daily News Magazine, Newsday, Cosmopolitan, Woman’s World, Family Circle, Art Times, Cineaste, and Salon. “Objects of Desire,” appearing in Lilith and Whetstone Literary Review, was nominated for a 1999 Pushcart Prize in nonfiction. “Another Day in Paradise; International Humanitarian Workers Tell Their Stories” was nominated for the J. Anthony Lukas Book Prize. She has also taught at the University of London, The New School, Gotham Writers Workshop, and Marymount College.
