Monica Valentina Sanz specializes in economic and financial analysis related to banks, country risk, and capital markets. She is a VP at AIG Investments covering emerging market financial sectors. Monica joined AIG from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where she led a team of financial analysts responsible for producing policy-relevant analysis related to global banks. Monica’s professional experience also includes working as an AVP in the capital markets group within Citigroup’s treasury and as an analyst at Morgan Stanley Capital International.  She was named a US-Spain Council Young Leader in 2016 and a delegate to the US-Japan Leadership Program in 2018. Monica earned a master’s degree in economics from New York University and also holds a B.A. in economics and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from The Johns Hopkins University.
