Clinical Assistant Professor

Language Lecturer & Co-Coordinator of the Academic English Program and the Comprehensive English Program, where he focuses on critical English for academic purposes (CEAP) and assessment. Prior to joining the SPS faculty (2012-present), Shant held many teaching and administrative positions in New York City. He has taught the following courses at the ALI: DESL1-GC9174 - Reading & Writing Workshop; DESL1-GC9174 - Reading & Writing Workshop (on-line); CESL1-CE9045 - American Culture Seminar; CESL1-CE9027 - Business English. Shant holds the following degrees and certifications: MA in TESOL, Adelphi University (1998); ESL Teaching Certificate, New School for Social Research (1996); BA in Political Science/History, CUNY-Hunter College (1995).
