Leigh Harbin

Adjunct Instructor

Leigh Harbin teaches literature and writing as an adjunct instructor at the Center for Applied Liberal Arts, NYUSPS, Marymount Manhattan College, and The Fashion Institute of Technology. She specializes in contemporary drama and genre fiction, especially horror and detective fiction. She also studies portrayals of women in gothic horror fiction from the late eighteenth century to the present, and how these heroines are portrayed in popular culture. Harbin teaches composition and business communication in addition to literature. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
