Adjunct Instructor

Thomas Reed, MPA, is an adjunct faculty member teaching computer graphics courses for the Design, Digital Arts and Film at the NYU School of Professional Studies. In addition to teaching, Tom worked for many years as a Materials Developer for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Here, he designed and developed a wide range of health education and promotional materials, including publications, web content, logos and subway posters. At NYU and the New School/Parsons, Tom teaches computer graphics courses (primarily Photoshop and Illustrator). He was also a senior trainer at United Digital Artists (UDA), has performed as an Adobe certified expert, and wrote a training book, “An Illustrator Guide to Type Effects and Logo-Building.” Tom has also published a range of articles and creative works.
