Adjunct Instructor

Akiko Carbonaro, MBA, LLM, joined the World Trade Institute Language Center, A Service of Port Authority of NY & NJ in 1994. During her four years there, she worked as a chief Japanese lecturer, translator and interpreter. In September 2000, Akiko was hired as an adjunct professor of Japanese Language at Pace University’s Modern Language Department.  In 2008, she was appointed the Japanese language adviser/consultant at New York State Unified Court System, where she oversees all Japanese candidates’ accuracy and performance as court interpreters.   She graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University, with an Ed.M degree in Applied Linguistics.
