Start/Restart Writing Poetry

Whether you’re an aspiring or beginning poet, a master of verse, or a stalled poet battling writer’s block, share your original verse in this supportive workshop environment of constructive critique. Explore or revisit a variety of poetic forms and devices, including metaphor, simile, imagery, rhyme, and alliteration, as well as techniques of rhythm and structure. Poetry prompts and specific assignments challenge the development of your poetry writing skills. Workshop discussions serve a dual function: they provide you with constructive feedback on your work and they help you to gain insight into the creative process to help strengthen future poetic endeavors.
