Play Ball: Minor League Baseball Operations and Administration

This course offers an in-depth study of minor-league baseball operations. It is intended to give the casual observer, baseball enthusiast, or career changer a firsthand look at the behind-the-scenes decisions and efforts needed to run a successful minor league franchise. Gain insight into day-to-day activities of the organization, organizational structure, staffing, facilities operations, finance, sales and marketing, sponsorship, concessions, and event production. Also, receive an overview of operational norms, administration, and parent club relationships. This course will include guest lectures by expert industry professionals and a full study of the business operations of a typical ball club.
