Preparing for American Universities
This professional English language program provides you with an engaging, hands-on introduction to higher education in the United States, while exploring New York City. This program is for current high school students who wish to pursue undergraduate study and current college students who wish to pursue graduate study in the United States. You are grouped in classes based on the level of study you are pursuing (undergraduate or graduate study). Learn how to successfully complete college applications; compose and edit college-level essays and texts, including the personal statement; and identify the appropriate choices for college goals (safety, best-fit, and reach schools). Also, gain the skills and the confidence to communicate orally with increased fluency with peers in the college setting, with a focus on appropriateness, pronunciation, articulation, intonation, stress, and vocal projection; to adapt and excel in the overseas college environment; to present yourself well during on-campus interviews; and to excel at college learning.
