FP 3: Investment Planning

This course will provide you with the knowledge to assess a client’s risk-tolerance, tax situation, liquidity, and marketability requirements in order to determine appropriate investment vehicles. Other topics covered in this course include regulation of markets, investment vehicles, investment theory, financial markets, and modern portfolio theory.   • An understanding of a client’s stated goals and risk tolerance, as well as the economic environment, in order to make informed investment decisions
  • The ability to invest in common stocks, fixed-income securities, portfolio management, and derivative securities, having gained the requisite knowledge to do so effectively

  • Familiarity with cash flows available for investment
