In Print: Creating and Designing a Photographic Exhibit as a Photography Book

Learn how to create a collaborative photographic book that functions as a catalog of a virtual exhibit of your own and your classmates’ photographs. Collaborate on a theme and a design for the book, while learning to edit, sequence, and lay out a printed catalog of a virtual exhibit. As curators for the exhibit, class members critique and discuss choices for the exhibit in a supportive environment. Learn how systematically to select and organize your images and how best to write a brief introduction to your work. Upon completion of the class, you will have working knowledge of organizing and planning a virtual group exhibit and creating an accompanying book. The final catalog will be printed and distributed to the class through an on-demand printing company, such as Blurb or MagBooks. The catalog also will be available as a PDF document.
