Beyond her business achievements, she actively supports educational and social causes, serving as a trustee at Dexter Southfield school and contributing to international programs at Johns Hopkins University. Notably, she co-chaired the Taste of Ginger diabetes education initiative in 2021 and 2022. Currently, she serves on the board of directors at Beth Israel Lahey Health's Joslin Diabetes Center, demonstrating her commitment to Boston's Life Sciences sector.

Sophia Barry Gordon is a translator and Localization Project Manager – Team Lead at CSOFT International within the communications business unit. She has a B.A. in Romance languages, specializing in French and Italian, and an M.S. in Translation & Interpreting, both from New York University. She is the recipient of the NYU Prix Jindrich Zezula and the French Voices Award issued by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy for her translation of the graphic novel Catharsis by Luz. Other notable projects include translations of Instagrammable by Eliette Abécassis, Giustizia e mito: Con Edipo, Antigone e Creonte by Marta Cartabia & Luciano Violante, Furiosus: A Chivalric Opera based on Orlando Furioso by Roberto Scarcella Perino & Flora Gagliardi, and King Charlie by Délphine Pessin, which was Women+ in Translation series Jill!
