Who ensures no McDonald's runs out of burgers or French fries, across 36,000 worldwide locations in over 100 countries, 80% of which are not owned by McDonald's?

Bob Stewart, Corporate Vice President, Global Supply Chain, leads that role. A proud 26-year McDonald's veteran, he leads the Global Strategic Sourcing Food team responsible for overseeing $24 billion in food & beverage spend.

Also under Bob's leadership is the Global Supply Chain Digitalization team. With Digital's Vision 2025 work underway, McDonald's is quickly becoming the world's leading digitally enabled supply chain connecting customers with food they love and trust.

A proud 26 year McDonald's veteran, Bob Stewart leads the Global Strategic Sourcing Food team responsible for overseeing $23.6 billion in food & beverage spend. Committed to building a responsible, sustainable & resilient supply chain, the GSSF team leverages its Global scale to deliver exceptional value and maintain a robust and diverse supply chain to assure supply now and in the future.

Also under Bob's leadership is the Global Supply Chain Digitalization team. With Digital's Vision 2025 work underway, McDonald's is quickly becoming the world's leading digitally enabled supply chain connecting customers with food they love and trust.

Prior to this role, Bob held VP positions in both Global Strategic Sourcing Services, responsible for $23B in spend in packaging, logistics, kitchen equipment, toys, and procurement & sourcing services for indirect categories and U.S. Field & Supply Chain Services for McDonald's USA, managing categories including fashion apparel, packaging, kitchen equipment, toys, logistics and distribution.

Bob came to McDonald's from Hapag-Lloyd America, a global transportation company specializing in containerized ocean freight, where he served as Vice President of the Midwest Region.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York Maritime College in the Bronx, New York where he graduated as a licensed officer in the United States Merchant Marine and served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve.

Bob currently serves on the board of Chicago Junior Achievement. In his spare time, you can find him sailing on Lake Michigan while enjoying his favorite McDonald's fare, a Sausage McMuffin with Egg.

Bob and his wife Nancy live in the western suburbs of Chicago and are the proud parents of three wonderful children.

Bob will be joining students from the "Finance for Marketing" course offered as a core part of the MS Integrated Marketing degree, within the Division of Programs in Business at NYU's School of Professional Studies. The conversation will be moderated by George Benaroya, Adjunct Instructor at NYU SPS, and a VP of Finance, Global Controller & CFO.
