Institute on Federal Taxation

The Institute on Federal Taxation is one of the nation’s most prestigious tax conferences and the longest running conference at NYU. It addresses all areas of federal taxation, including technical and legislative developments.

Tax Conferences in July

Eight individual conferences in specialized areas of taxation take place over two weeks in July and are comprised of in-depth sessions on international taxation, partnerships taxation, Subchapter S, state and local taxation, like-kind exchanges, and trusts and estates.

Now in its 42nd year, The SALT Institute is the premier state and local tax conference in the country and provides updates and in-depth analysis of developments and current issues in all areas of state and local taxation.

Tax Controversy Forum

CLE and CPE Accreditation Information

CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION FOR NEW YORK ATTORNEYS (CLE)

The NYU School of Professional Studies has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of New York. Courses qualifying for CLE for newly admitted attorneys, for experienced attorneys, or for both, are identified in conjunction with each such course's description. The School provides a New York CLE Certificate of Attendance to attorneys in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines, including those regarding verification of attendance.

In compliance with the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board regulations and guidelines, the NYU School of Professional Studies offers financial aid to licensed New York attorneys facing financial hardship. CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION FOR ACCOUNTANTS (CPE)

The NYU School of Professional Studies holds a continuing education sponsor agreement with the New York State Department of Education, which authorizes the granting of continuing education credit in the following subject areas: accounting, auditing, taxation, advisory services, knowledge and applications related to specialized industries.  Courses offered outside the authorized subject areas will not be recognized for credit under this agreement.  For the acceptability of an individual course, please call the NYU School of Professional Studies at 212-998-7200, or the New York State Department of Education at 518-474-3836.
