Scholarships for Continuing Students

NYUSPS Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies students are eligible to apply for the following scholarships after their first semester of study.

Etta Kallman Memorial Scholarship for Study Abroad
This $1,200 scholarship was established to provide financial assistance for short-term, travel/study abroad for adults who, because of financial constraints and/or family and work conflicts, must usually forgo this enriching experience. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.

Bart Lawson Scholarship
This $4,000 award provides four credits of course work towards the Senior Project or Independent Study to students pursuing a B.S. in Leadership and Management Studies, a B.S. in Healthcare Management, or a B.A. in Social Sciences, with concentrations in Economics or International Studies, who are interested in working on a project aimed at enhancing the quality of life of the Grenadian people. Recipients who visit Grenada to work on their projects also receive reimbursement for travel expenses.

George Sideris Award
This $2,000 award provides tuition assistance to students working on degree-related Independent Study, Senior Project Seminar, Senior Project Independent Study, or Fieldwork projects while pursuing a bachelor's program through the Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies. Eligible projects aim to identify, investigate, and recommend solutions that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by world leaders in September 2015. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 is required.

Icahn Scholarship for Single Parents
This scholarship provides $2,500 each semester to single parents with young children who are pursuing a B.S. degree or a B.A. in Social Sciences degree with a concentration in Economics or Organizational Behavior and Change. The award automatically renews every semester provided the recipient maintains the minimum 3.0 GPA and enrolls in at least 8 credits.

Bernard Osher Foundation Re-entry Scholarship
Specifically for adult students returning to college, this scholarship awards up to $2,500 per academic year based on academic potential and financial need.

DAUS Degree Completion Financial Assistance Scholarship
The DAUS Degree Completion Financial Assistance Scholarship provides tuition assistance to continuing DAUS students who are significantly advanced in their degree progress. The award is based on both academic merit and financial need. Selected students will receive approximately $2,100 per academic year. Applicants must have earned a minimum of 96 credits and demonstrate financial need.

Stenbeck Scholars Program
This scholarship provides financial assistance to students pursuing either a B.A. in Social Sciences with a concentration in Media Studies or a B.S. in Digital Communications and Media. Awards range from $2,500 to $5,000 each.

Wendy David Scholars Program
This scholarship provides funding for Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies students pursuing a bachelor's degree while maintaining full-time or part-time employment. Wendy David Scholars are awarded $15,000 per academic year. Applicants must have earned a minimum of 96 credits and demonstrate financial need. The award automatically renews every semester provided the recipient maintains the minimum 3.7 GPA and enrolls in at least 8 credits.
