Event-The Driverless City
The NYU School of Professional Studies (NYUSPS) Schack Institute of Real Estate Urban Lab presented a panel discussion titled, “The Driverless City,” on Monday, October 30. The discussion explored the impact of autonomous vehicles on transportation, urban design, real estate, and economic development. Moderated by Steven Pedigo, a clinical assistant professor and director of the NYUSPS Urban Lab, the panel of experts examined how driverless cities can reduce congestion and car dependency while supplementing the valuable revenue streams from parking and public transit. Most importantly, they considered how to plan for a driverless future that prioritizes inclusivity and innovation.
