M.S. in Public Relations and Corporate Communication
Alumnus, Class of 2011
"The graduate experience at the NYU School of Professional Studies has certainly paid off for me. In addition to the excellent instruction I received in the classroom, I was able to network and to advance in my career while earning my degree. Many of my professors run their own companies and provided me with invaluable professional connections. They helped me to get in touch with the right people and to really pursue the type of career I wanted to have.
While I was a student at the School, I worked at the United Nations where I was involved with news agencies from around the world—an exciting opportunity that I wouldn’t have secured without the coaching and the recommendations of my professors, who encouraged my interest in international communications. Their professional connections helped me to 'get a foot in the door.' I am currently a communication coordinator at the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation in Cape Town, South Africa, and I couldn't be happier."
